  McDonald's shares the same parking area as used for SOUTHSHORE CENTER on Alameda Island.   This McDonald's location is located right across the street from Alameda Beach.  To my knowledge, this is the only extended sandy beach in the entire San Francisco Bay.   While dining on your Big Breakfast or on a Big Mac or on a Filet o' Fish, you can gaze to the west and towards the beach and catch glimpses of seagulls and pelicans traveling along the coastline of Alameda Beach.  My two photographs provide a close-up view of what can be seen from your table in McDonald's.
  
  THE COFFEE.   Despite being only a "fast food" outlet, I have determined that the coffee at McDonald's is my second favorite source of coffee (right after Peet's coffee).  McDonald's coffee always has an indescribable smoothness ("indescribable," because I have no training the culinary arts).   I have ordered McDonald's coffee on at least one hundred occasions, and on only one occasion out of over 100 occasions, the coffee was a bit on the elderly side (the elderly coffee was from a McDonald's located on Route 5 near Bakersfield).  And so, what I say about McDonald's coffee is that it has a smooth flavor and a consistently good flavor.
  
  BIG BREAKFAST.  I have been a fan of the Big Breakfast meal for many decades.  The pancakes, sausage, English muffin, hash browns, omelette, the little box of syrup with the pull-tab, and the jam, are an appealing combination.   I know that this sounds ridiculous, but having a Big Breakfast from McDonald's is like opening up several presents that are under your Christmas tree.
  
  THE PLAYLIST.   Popular tastes for music change from decade to decade, and from era to era.  I am not sure how management at McDonald's decided upon the playlist that was on tap for today (Sunday, October 20, 2019), but I was delighted by the content.  The content was moldy oldies from the early 1960s.  What I heard this morning was:

  WHEN: All the time
  
  It's unfortunate that the McDonalds near me is consistently good.  I eat here (drive through) almost every week (usually Friday nights). The staff are all friendly and the head manager is very nice.  I get the impression that he and his team work very heard here.
  
  Here's what I usually order.
  
  FRENCH FRIES - $2.99
  Fresh, hot, crispy and salty enough EVERY SINGLE TIME!  I'm telling you, they are consistent here! The price increased a little recently but it's okay, I'll still come back.
  
  QUARTER POUNDER W/CHEESE - $5.39
  When you want a burger where the beef patty is bigger than the buns, go for this. It comes with 2 slices of cheese, ketchup and onions. The beef patty is often enough juicy and it's so tasty.
  
  BIG MAC - $5.39
  Plenty chopped lettuce with that yummy Big Mac sauce! Sure the beef patties are small but you get two of them!  I will always enjoy this sandwich her
  
  COFFEE - $1
  I'm no coffee connoisseur, but if you just need a lot of coffee for cheap, come here!  At any size you can have decent coffee (my dad loves it).  I don't really know what good coffee tastes but for just a buck, you can't go wrong.
  
  I've had other stuff here too but those above are usually my go to goods.  The parking lot is huge and I usually do drive though, which now opens until midnight!  It's very well organized here and yes, I'll be coming back very soon!

  This location is not in the 90th percentile when compared to other franchise locations of the same brand. That said my experiences here have never been less than 5 stars especially when ordering custom tailored sandwiches at the drive-thru. All around solid business.

  Everytime coming here after work to grab food it's always something wrong with my order so I mcchicken with cheese but get a regular mcchicken in stead and not only that it's always super cold fries. The workers seem super lazy and rude
